Can I drive after DL expiry?+
No! Penalty: Rs 5,000. Grace period: 30 days after expiry to renew without retest. After 1 year of expiry, retest may be required (varies by state).
How to renew expired DL?+
Online: sarathi.parivahan.gov.in → DL services → Renewal. Offline: visit RTO with Form 9, medical certificate (if 40+), DL copy, photos, fees Rs 200-500. Renewal in 7-15 days.
DL grace period?+
30 days after expiry: renew without test. Beyond 30 days but within 5 years: renew after passing test. Beyond 5 years: apply for fresh learner license.
